SELANGOR – Maju Group marked another milestone when it was conferred 3 prestigious awards presented by Human Resources Minster, YB Datuk Seri Dr. S. Subramaniam at the Malaysia HR Awards 2011 ceremony recently. They won accolades in Employer of Choice, HR Breakthrough and HR Leader of the Year.

YBhg Dato’ Norashikin Ismail, Director of Group Human Resources of Maju, who was named as HR Leader of the Year 2011 said,” We are truly honored to receive the awards as they are a testament of the recognition that we have gained for our outstanding contributions in the Human Resources field, and the awards are special tributes to all Maju employees.”

“We would not have achieved this without the commitment and dedication of our people coupled with the strong support from Maju’s top management. To win not one but two grand gold and one gold award come as a pleasant surprise to us, considering the very stringent selection and evaluation processes. This definitely inspires us to continue to be committed towards our people, creating a home and family where their careers can flourish and develop. The Maju Group possesses, at its very core, a proud of tradition and an environment that encourages and rewards perseverance, dedication and teamwork”, she added.

Maju also deserves worthy mention for its efforts in developing and cultivating the latent talents of its workforce, efforts that extend themselves to the establishment of a Maju School of Excellence that offers customizable programs to train its employees. This substantiates Maju’s commitment to hiring and retaining the right talent.

A yearly employee survey is but one of many employee enrichment measures that shows that Maju is an active employer that seeks and digests the valuable feedback of its employees. With additional activities such as dedicated-yet-informal tea sessions with the top management, employees are a key asset within the Maju Group who are constantly valued and appreciated.

The Malaysia HR Awards is a yearly event organised by Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM) since 1999. One of the objectives of the award is to encourage the recognition of HR as talent that is capable of being creative and innovative.

This is the second year Maju Group has received such recognition. Last year, Maju Group was a proud and deserving recipient of the 2010 HR Excellence Award.
