Dr. Saravanan S.R. Sundaramurthy was appointed as the Special Officer to Chairman on 1 September 2017. In 2014, Dr Saravanan obtained his Master’s Degree in Public Health from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), and has been a member of the Malaysian Medical Association since 2003.
He has a total of 15 years of working experiences in the medical industry and is actively involved in Social Responsibility organizations including as President to the Malaysian Association for Family & Child Health as well as the Secretary to the Malaysian Integrated Community Health Medical Association. He is presently attached to the Institute of Healthcare Management (IHM), National Institute of Health (NIH), Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) as Head of Technical & Support. Prior to that, he was Epidemiology Officer at the Health District Office in Kuala Selangor, Assistant Director to Traditional and Complementary Medicine (TCM), Ministry of Health, Research Medical Officer to Institute Medical Research (IMR), National Institutes of Health (NIH), and a Medical Officer at the Department of Anesthesiology, Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah.
He is also currently involved in the areas of System Development for Talent Grooming Programme, Head of Patient Satisfaction Programme, Lean Health Team Member -Collaboration with Pemandu and as Enhancing Public Healthcare Team Member. All these programs are under IHM, NIH, and KKM.
